First thing first: Theasthai is on 19th May 2007. Do come and watch me perform! The tickets are riced at a reasonable cost. A ticket is $10 per person. What a great deal it is, considering the fact that you will be watching our Drama students' examination pieces at DBS Arts Centre. Approach me for more details! =)
Chinese Drama is very very very taxing. They start rehearsing for SYF two weeks before and then they expect a Gold medal. With honours. I mean, from my professional point of view (it is rather critical), I think that this 15 minutes piece that they are doing is perhaps worth only a bronze or a silver. To get a gold is like to walk on the sun, unless the other schools are really really lousy.
Furthermore, rehearsing every single day for two weeks (minus Sunday for that is the day where everyon goes to church) is very mind-boggling. Being over rehearsed, one gets tired of that freaking creative, abstract, emotional appealing, high energy and fanstatic play and then everything goes downhill.
I hope that you managed to see through the sarcasm. If you didn't, the above line that goes "...freaking creative, abstract, emotional appealing, high energy and fanstatic..." was meant as a sarcastic line. Or in other words, I think I applied satire into this sentence.
Well, as someone in the play said," To God be the Glory, the Best is Yet to Be". I certainly hope that the best is yet to be.
Come on, someone get m a better director!
