There are times when the sky is dark and there you are standing underneath it hoping that it would rain so heavily it will flood the entire world. However there are also times when the rain is so heavy that you stand in the shelter praying so hard that the sun would come out and send the whole world into drought. There are also times when you are so down you try to increase your own morale.
However, when you are elated and happy, you will never try to make yourself unhappy.
I was taking the train today and as usual, I was dozing off like some drunk haggard hobo deprived of the most basic necessity: sleep.
And suddenly - Ang Mo Kio. My station had arrived. I hastily picked up my green and heavy backpack. Like a clumsy fool, I staggered to the door as fast as I can. Then suddenly, this man in his thirties or forties pushed me aside and stood in front of the doors waiting for it to open.
He makes this gurgling sound, as if he is scratching the back of his throat trying to clear some phlegm. It is that irritating sound which makes you feel like strangling someone whenever you hear it. The door opens. This man in blue walks out of the train and spits.
He spitted onto the floor, just right outside of the train's doors. Right smack in front of someone's shoes.
How inconsiderate. I hope he throat will be filled with phlegm for the rest of his life.
